Two Hurt in Highway 411 Accident Monday Morning

Two individuals were injured in an accident taking place around 11:30 Monday morning on Highway 411 at the intersection with County Road 83. The accident involved two vehicles – although the utility-type truck and the SUV involved never actually touched.

According to reports, the vehicles swerved to avoid a collision and one crashed into an embankment. It appears that a two year old child was airlifted for treatment by LifeForce Helicopter from a landing zone at Cherokee Medical Center, and an adult was transported by Cherokee EMS to a Rome-area hospital for treatment.

Those responding to the scene included the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Cherokee EMS the Spring Creek Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers.  We’ll have more information when the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report has been completed.
