Two men are now in custody, in connection with the May 20th shooting of Kendrell Williams, at his residence on 317 Wilkerson Drive in Hobson City.
Williams told law enforcement that he answered a knock at his front door just after midnight and was confronted by two black males – one of whom shot Williams in the face.
When investigators arrived on the scene the two suspects had already fled, however, a cell phone had been dropped at the location by one of the assailants. The telephone was used to identify one of the men as Terrell Montez Batchelor Sr.; he was located hours later and arrested on charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied building.
The investigation revealed that Brandon Omar Williams was the second suspect, and he was also the suspect in the shooting of Tony Flentroy, on May 16th; at approximately 11:30 that night, the victim was walking on Wilkerson drive when a vehicle pulled up beside him and someone inside the vehicle shot him in the arm. A witness drove Flentroy to RMC Hospital for treatment.
Investigators and U.S. Marshals located Brandon Williams May 21st in an Oxford-area hotel.
He also faces charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied building.
Bond for Batchelor was set at $20,000 for each of his charges; meanwhile Brandon Williams had a cash bond of $25,000 set for each of his charges. The court date for both men is on June 20th at 1:30pm.
