Two Rome Residents Injured in Cherokee County Motorcycle Accident on Tuesday

A northwest Georgia couple was injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 14 Tuesday afternoon. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that single-vehicle wreck occurred at 5:30pm around five miles south of Centre – injuring both people on the bike.

The driver was listed as 36 year old Laurie Dillard and the passenger was 41 year old Barry Dillard – both of Rome. Both were transported to Floyd County for treatment.

No additional information regarding the condition of either party has yet been released.

Those responding to the scene included the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Cherokee EMS.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
