Two Women Face Child Endangerment Charges in Separate Cases

Two Etowah County women are facing Child Endangerment charges in separate cases.

An infant was taken to a Birmingham area hospital for treatment after the mother had been using drugs during her pregnancy; 32 year old Amber Yvette Crawford was arrested on July 19th after the child tested positive for amphetamines and opiates. 

Crawford admitted to law enforcement that she shot heroin while pregnant; she also tested positive for amphetamines and opiates.

31 year old Jasmyn Senea Hester also of Gadsden, was arrested the same day.  She admitted to using heroin and prescription medication without a legal prescription while pregnant.

Both Crawford and Hester were booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on a cash bond of $10,000 each.
