The Valley Street Campus of Gadsden State Community College is hosting a Black History Month event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 25 in the Gadsden Job Corps gymnasium. 

The ‘I Have a Dream’ Summit will feature young, successful African-Americans who are self-employed or advancing in their specific career field.  Information in areas such as finance, catering, music and entertainment, entrepreneurship, skills training and more will be available from local business professionals. 

The summit is designed to inspire and empower others—young and old alike— to tap into their talents, skills and abilities to learn how to become successful.  Entertainment will be provided by DJ Mr. Bowtie and the Kappa Omega Psi step team.  Community members of all ages are invited to this free event.  For more information contact Frances Hall at 256-549-8670 or fhall@gadsdenstate.edu.
