Another vehicle break-in was reported over the weekend at the Movies at Mt. Berry Square in Rome.
A woman told police after leaving the movie theatre and returning to her car at about 11:30 on Saturday night she found that her purse – which she had left in the passenger seat – was gone.
Items in the purse reportedly included a wallet, driver’s license, health insurance cards and a bottle of medication in addition to around $3,000 in cash.
The male driver of the vehicle told officers he had locked the vehicle prior to the pair going inside however there appeared to be no signs of forced entry.
Several car break-in’s have been reported in the theater parking lot over the last few weeks
This latest incident remains under investigation.
