Volunteer Soccer Coach Charged with Sexual Abuse of Child Under the Age of 12

Barrow, David 2

Prosecutors have released disturbing details against a Guntersville High School volunteer soccer coach charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse.

The website al.com is reporting that David Barrow – who has been suspended from his volunteer position at the school – has now been charged with two counts of the sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age and two counts of human trafficking.

According to the website al.com, on the sexual abuse charges the criminal complaint stated that Barrow made nude photographs of a female child and touched her inappropriately meanwhile on the human trafficking charges the criminal complaint states that Barrow did (quote) “Knowingly obtain, recruit, entice, solicit, induce, threaten, isolate, harbor, hold, restrain, transport, provide or maintain one and/or two girls for the purpose of causing them to engage in sexual servitude.” (end-quote)

Barrow also allegedly paid to have those two girls transported to a residence on Craigmont Drive in south Huntsville.

At this time, it appears the charges against him originated only in the Huntsville area and not in Guntersville.

Barrow was arrested on May 9th, and was released from the Madison County Jail after meeting his $180,000 bond on May 12th.

His co-defendant Kristian Danette Griffin, who has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit sexual abuse, remains in jail on a bond of $120,000.
