The polls will be today (Tuesday, July 15th) from 7:00am – 7:00pm.

Many party races were decided in the June 3rd Primaries – but some are still not finalized.

Those candidates winning today will move on to the November 4th General Election.

All statewide Republican ballots will have the Secretary of State’s race between John Merrill and Reese McKinney, the State Auditor’s race between Jim Zeigler and Dale Peterson – and the race for Public Service Commission Place #2 between Chris “Chip” Beeker and Terry Dunn.

Local offices on the ballot include the run-off for Cherokee County Board of Education Place #5 between Brian Jennings and Rhett Walker.

And today is the day that Cherokee County voters will have the opportunity to decide whether to extend the one-cent sales tax for education in the county – or let it lapse.
