Investigators in the town of Arab have taken a woman into custody in connection with an apparent case of arson.
The fire occurred shortly after 10:00am Thursday (September 11th) near the Amberwood Apartments on South Main Street. When authorities arrived on the scene they encountered a semi-trailer which was ablaze.
Nearby they found several burning notes, each with a woman’s name on it.
Information gathered by investigators led to Alexandra Danielle Seymour being questioned a short time later – at which point, she allegedly admitted to setting the fire.
Seymour was charged with Arson 3rd Degree and with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The exact circumstances which led to the incident are still under investigation.
