A Dalton woman was recently arrested and charged with being in possession of drugs and weapons while on the property of Hays State Prison in Chattooga County.
Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the facility after guards found suspected marijuana, along with pills and drug paraphernalia while conducting a routine search of the parking lot with the prison’s K-9 Unit; correctional officers said they also discovered a .22 caliber pistol and a stun gun inside the 2011 Nissan Pathfinder belonging to Charmarie Delayne Sproles.
She was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Chattooga County Jail facing a variety of charges.
