Woman Hurt in Fall at Cherokee Rock Village Over the Weekend

Cherokee-Rock-Village-28A woman was injured, after reportedly falling some twelve to fifteen feet at Cherokee Rock Village over the weekend.

The accident took place around 3:30 Sunday afternoon with the victim being air-lifted from the scene after the Sand Rock Fire Department set up a landing zone; Cherokee EMS was on the scene as well.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released was a resident of Oneonta reportedly in her early 40’s.

According to emergency personnel she suffered a number of abrasions and lacerations as a result of the fall, including injuries to both wrists and possible injuries around the head and face.

The report didn’t indicate where she was taken for treatment saying only that she had to be flown out.
