Woman That Fled From the Courtroom During Trial, Found and Arrested

Pugh 1Amanda Pugh was standing trial in the Chattooga County courtroom of Judge Brian House last month, when she bolted and ran from the courthouse and managed to elude deputies.

Unfazed, the judge moved forward with the trail, finding Pugh guilty on drug charges, with a sentence of 20 years in prison being handed down; that followed by 30 years of probation – she was also hit with a $50,000 fine.

Pugh was tracked down by Chattooga County Drug Agent Gary Campbell and a Summerville Police Detective, Ty Hutchins and placed under arrest on Thursday of this week.

She was found in Bartow County and arrested on a bench warrant.

Pugh was convicted on charges stemming from a raid on her Peach Orchard Road residence during which law enforcement reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, pills, pipes, scales and other drug-related objects.
