Woman Wanted on Drug Charges for More Than a Year Now Back in Custody

DilbeckAfter eluding law enforcement officials for more than a year – a woman wanted on multiple drug charges is back behind bars in Etowah County. 48 year old Kimberly Bearden Dilbeck was taken into custody late last week and she is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center.

She is facing three counts of drug trafficking, five counts of drug possession, two counts of the possession of drug paraphernalia and a marijuana possession charge.

Dilbeck was was arrested in February of 2013 when she was stopped by drug enforcement agents during an investigation; however, when warrants were to be served she couldn’t be found.

She was found that December, during a raid on Clayton Street in Attalla. After bonding out of jail, Dilbeck again could not be located.

She apparently had been gone from the area since that time, but recently returned, and was apprehended by law enforcement.

She remains in the Detention Center on bond of $167,000.
