According to the Ft Payne Police Department shortly after 6:00am Wednesday there was an accident involving an 18 wheeler at the foot of the mountain going into Ft Payne at the area known as “Joe’s Truck Stop”.
Early feedback points to the driver receiving only minor injuries however little information has been released.
Traffic in that area is currently shut down in all directions / POSTED AT 6:50am
