18 Wheeler Loses Its Load On Alabama Highway 9 North Of Cedar Bluff On Monday Afternoon (UPDATED)

An 18 wheeler was involved in a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 9 north of Cedar Bluff on Monday morning.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:50 and, in very similar fashion to a wreck that occurred last Monday at the same location in front of Dixie Pile Drivers, resulted in lumber – specifically particle wood – being scattered across the northbound roadway. That lane of traffic was blocked as a result of this spill. The vehicle, a 20017 Peterbilt big rig for Cascio Trucking out of Seminary, Mississippi, sustained damage to the right side of the trailer hauling this lumber, while the cab itself did not receive any immediately noticeable damage.

Fortunately, no injuries came from the accident, however Floyd EMS did respond on the scene to check over the driver, Billy Joe Jones of Mt. Olive, Mississippi.

Other emergency personnel on the scene include Cedar Bluff Fire Department, Cedar Bluff Police Department, and Alabama State Troopers.
