Roadway Reopened After18 Wheeler Overturns On Highway 411 North Near County Road 69, Driver Not Injured / UPDATED

The driver of an 18-wheeler that overturned on Highway 411 North on Thursday afternoon fortunately managed to escape injury.

The rig – being driven by 52 year old Collinsville resident Jonathan Duncan according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, overturned just before 2:00pm near the intersection of County Road 69 in the Moshat community. 

The truck was hauling a load of chicken feed, which shut down the roadway for around two hours as crews worked to clear away the spill.

Those responding to the scene included the Spring Creek Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, Rescue Squad Personnel, Cherokee County EMA Officials and Centre Police Officers – along with Alabama State Troopers.

That accident remains under investigation.
