An 18-wheeler overturned on Highway 411 just north of Centre, in the early morning hours of Tuesday.  According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the driver of the 2019 Peterbilt, Elisha Davis of Conway-Faulkner, Arkansas was listed as being hurt in the wreck, although no additional information was noted.  Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.

Traffic was down to one lane while the contents of the trailer – 40,000 pounds of coil steel –were being off-loaded, prior to the vehicle being towed from the scene.

The official time of the wreck was listed as 2:50am – everything was finally cleared, and the roadway was fully re-opened at 12:30pm.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
