An 18 wheeler ran off of the Chestnut Bypass at approximately 4:15 this morning near the Bypass Express Mart in Centre. The driver managed to keep the rig from overturning and there were no injuries. One lane of the Bypass was shut down from a brief period while the vehicle was removed. The truck was reportedly hauling car parts.
Centre Police and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene.
