A two vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 411 on Tuesday.

The call went out at around 3:11 pm at the 4-way traffic stop in Centre, in between the Texaco gas station and Waffle King restaurant. A 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 22 year old Heaven Hartline of Leesburg collided just past the stoplight with a 2014 Nissan Altima driven by 22 year old Savannah Motes of Centre while traveling eastbound. The Explorer sustained front bumper damage, with the damage to the Altima at the rear

Traffic at the intersection was blocked with some through way still available for cars to get through. Floyd EMS arrived on the scene to treat both drivers and any passengers, but no reported injuries came from the scene.

The Centre Fire and Centre Police Department both responded to the scene. We will have additional information on the cause of the accident as it becomes available.
