The “2018 Alabama Back to School Sales Tax Holiday” begins at 12:01am Friday (July 20th) and runs through 12:00 midnight Sunday (July 22nd). This will be the state’s 13th Sales Tax Holiday giving shoppers an opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers and clothing FREE of state sales tax.
That includes many clothing items valued at $100 or less; that list also includes computers, computer software and school computer supplies with a price of $750 or less; and a variety of school supplies, school art supplies and school instructional materials with a price of $50 or less per item.
