2018 Cherokee County Election Results| Andrew Jones Elected District 10 State Senator

Cherokee County voters flooded the polls on Tuesday casting a total of 8,585 ballots. 86 percent of those that voted were Republican while 13 percent voted Democrat.

There were only three contested races locally, in the race for State Senate District #10 Andrew Jones overwhelmingly won that race after his opponent, independent Craig Ford conceded the race. We spoke with Senator Jones following the announcement of the results –

In the race for Cherokee County Board of Education Place #3 it was Lisa Chandler defeating the incumbent Suzanne James Bishop by a total of 6,303 to 2,088. For Board of Education Place #4 the incumbent Lisa McKissick defeated her challenger Erica Brown by a margin of 6,561 to 1,782.
