The 2018 Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer society was met with great weather and hundreds of attendees Friday night in the Cedar Bluff Park.

Numerous activities and events went on all afternoon until 9:00 p.m. driving up donations to help the American Cancer Society reach as many people as possible. According to Melissa Culpepper the total raised was well in excess of $26,000.

Kim Armstrong made his annual appearance dancing to well- known tunes engaging the audience. Other entertainment included The Voice Contestant Savannah Leighton and Callie Garmon.

Sponsors for this year’s Relay included; Cherokee Medical Center, The Perry Funeral Home, DC Gas, Lanny’s, American Auctioneers Town of Cedar Bluff, Main Street Urgent Care, The Medicine Shoppe, Deans pharmacy Model Tees and WEIS Radio.
