The 2nd Annual Val’s Ride in memory of longtime Centre Police Chief Val Courtney was held on Saturday at the Odyssey Health Spa & Fitness Center.

A large number of bikers participated in the event which carried riders on a scenic tour through Little River Canyon and then back to the Odyssey for food and entertainment including Centre’s own David Sanford.

All proceeds raised from this event go to benefit victims of domestic violence – Eva Gardner, Event Organizer and Owner of the Odyssey tells us more –

A Run 4 Val Event is also held annually in Centre with the proceeds from that going to a scholarship fund for law enforcement in Courtney’s honor.

If you would like to make a donation to the Val Courtney Scholarship Fund you may do so by dropping them off at the Odyssey Health Spa on the Chestnut Bypass in Centre.
