30th Annual Leesburg Day Celebration Held On Saturday

The annual Leesburg Day celebration proved to be another great success. This year marked the 30th year for the celebration held annually in the Leesburg Town Park. Among the day’s activities was a tribute to local First Responders, performances by the What A Dance Studio and the crowning of Mrs. Leesburg.

This year’s honor went to Mrs. Peggy Graham. Event goers enjoyed live music by Ronnie Osborn and the Still Kickin Band and a special appearance by Elvis himself. Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers spoke briefly paying tribute to First Responders and Leesburg Mayor Brandy Pierce announced that after two years of work, the Leesburg Landing Project was officially complete and now officially open for public use.

Mayor Pierce said that he would like to thank each and everyone that worked hard in making Leesburg Day possible.
