31 Recently Arrested on Drug-Related Charges in DeKalb County

The Last two Days of August and the Month of September Leads to 31 Arrests on Drug Related Charges

FORT PAYNE, Ala. During the month of September and the last two days of August, 31 have been arrested on drug related charges.

On Monday, August 30th, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 58 near the Hopewell Community finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  Gregory Wayne Ferguson (48 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Prescription Pills and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Tuesday, August 31st, a Probation Officer went to a residence on Turner Ave SE in Fort Payne to follow up with a probationer.  While there, the Officer found Billy Wayne Carter (65 of Fort Payne) to be in possession of synthetic marijuana.  Carter was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

Also, on Tuesday, a Crossville Officer stopped a vehicle on Hwy 68 in Crossville finding the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of controlled medication and marijuana.  Ashley Kay Pittman (29 of Crossville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Probation Violation.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Wednesday, September 1st, DeKalb County Deputies went to a house on County Road 239 north of Valley Head to execute a warrant.  When Deputies arrived, they found and took into custody, Ronald Charles Gibson (46 of Valley Head).  Gibson was found in possessions of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Gibson was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

Also, on Wednesday, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 179.  Christopher Michael Smith (48 of Crossville) was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.  Smith was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Saturday, September 4th, DeKalb County Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 51 near Lebanon where the driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident.  Deputies went to the residence listed on the tag, finding Joey Preston Tidmore (43 of Fort Payne) who had outstanding warrants.  During the arrest, Tidmore was also found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Tidmore was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Non-Payment of Child Support and 7 FTA warrants.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Monday, September 6th, DeKalb County Deputies responded to a residence on County Road 402 in the Grove Oak area.  While there, Deputies made contact with Stanley Jay Collins (55 of McEwen, Al).  Collins was found to be in possession of prescription medication in which he did not have a prescription for.  Collins was charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Promote Prison Contraband 3rd.   Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

Again, on Monday, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 75 in Rainsville finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Sean Michael Perry (32 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, September 7th, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents spotted Landon Cole Frazier (38 of Henagar) at the walking park in Fort Payne.  Knowing Frazier had outstanding warrants, they took him into custody and found him to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Frazier was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (x2) and 9 FTA warrants.

On Friday, September 10th, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on McGee Street in Powell.  During the stop, there was a distinct odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Cocaine, drug paraphernalia and open container of alcohol were found in the vehicle.  Jason Andre Ledbetter (43 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited BeverageThomas Alex-Lee Tigue (21 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Again, on Friday, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Hwy 40 and County Road 85 in Henagar, finding the driver to have outstanding warrants.  During a search, Agents found several different prescription pills that the driver had no prescription for.  Aimee Hixon Mallett (52 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x4), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and FTA.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Thursday, September 16th, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 843 finding the driver to have several outstanding warrants.  Methamphetamine was found during a search of the vehicle.  Terry Wayne Knight (44 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 10 FTA warrants.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Friday, September 17th, Sylvania Police Officers arrested Thomas Coleman Brewster (19 of Valley Head) at DeKalb Lake in Sylvania for public intoxication and possession of tobacco by minor.  While being booked into the DeKalb County Jail, Brewster was found to be in possession of Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.  Brewster was charged with Public Intoxication, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Minor in Possession of Tobacco, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Sunday, September 19th, DeKalb County Deputies and Geraldine Police Officers went to a residence on County Road 18 near Fyffe to assist with an employee termination.  During a search, methamphetamine was located.  Terri Lynn Steffy (54 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Reckless Endangerment.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Tuesday, September 21st, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents attempted to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 17.  The driver accelerated and led officers on a short pursuit.  Once the vehicle was stopped, on County Road 380, drug paraphernalia was found within the vehicle.  Damien Matthew Owens (42 of Albertville) was charged with Attempt to Elude Police and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Again, on Tuesday, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on County Road 370 in Kilpatrick finding Methamphetamine and Alprazolam in the vehicle.  Henry Dustin Midgette (41 of Boaz) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Again, on Tuesday, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents were on County Road 381in Kilpatrick at the scene of an accident where a vehicle had left the roadway striking a fence.  The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene.  With the help of the citizens description, the found the vehicle and driver about a mile from the accident.  Stephanie Ann Davis (42 of Boaz) was charged with DUI (Alcohol).

On Wednesday, September 22nd, DeKalb County Deputies were in the vicinity of County Road 30 in Collinsville when they noticed Simon Lee Simpson (29 of Collinsville), who had outstanding warrants, walking along the road.  As Deputies pulled up to speak with Simpson, he tossed something onto the ground and fled on foot.  After a short pursuit, Simpson was apprehended and found to be in possession of a large amount of synthetic marijuana.  Simpson was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Attempt to Elude Police, Domestic Violence 3rd and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

Again, on Wednesday, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near County Road 30 in Collinsville.  Approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.  Jason Craig Smith (36 of Collinsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug ParaphernaliaChristopher John Pozzobon (38 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Giving False ID to Officer, Non-Payment of Child Support and FTA warrant.

On Friday, September 24th, Fyffe Police Officers conducted a traffic stop near Fyffe Police Department finding that the driver had outstanding warrants.  William James Ingle (29 of Rainsville) was transported to DCSO Detention Center and while being booked in was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Ingle was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd and FTA.   Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

Also, on Friday, DeKalb County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near County Road 10 and 479, with the driver leading the Deputies on a short pursuit.  Once stopped, the driver then fled on foot, but was soon apprehended.  After a search was complete, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.  Amber L Yates (25 of Albertville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2ndChristopher Parker II (23 of Albertville) was charged with DUI (Controlled Substance), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempt to Elude Police (x2), Reckless Endangerment and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Tuesday, September 28th, Crossville Police Officers checked on a subject that had been walking near Main Street in Crossville.  The subject attempted to throw something onto the ground while officers were talking with him.  Christopher Tyler Echols (30 of Albertville) was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Echols was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.   Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Wednesday, September 29th, Henagar Police Officers responded to call about a wanted person being at an apartment complex on Haven Drive in Henagar.  James Randy Hurst Jr (34 of Summerville, Ga) was located and found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.  Hurst was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Non-Payment of Child Support and 2 FTA warrants.   Narcotics Agents were called in to assist.

On Thursday, September 30th, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents were patrolling in the area of North Valley Road in Collinsville when the spotted a subject who was identified as having an active warrant.  Glenn Ivan Green Jr (46 of Crossville) was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana.  Green was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also, on Thursday, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 85 and 121.  During the stop, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.  Robert David Eugen King (42 of Albertville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug ParaphernaliaStephanie Meadows Crowe (45 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Again, on Thursday, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on Carrisa Road in Sylvania.  Both the driver and passenger were identified as having active warrants.  Methamphetamine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, methadone, suboxone and drug paraphernalia were located during a search of the vehicle.  John David Sycks Jr (24 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x3), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 8 FTA warrantsJessie Alizabeth Lambert (23 of Dawson) was charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 4 FTA warrants.
