3rd Annual VEX Robotics Competition Held in Centre On Saturday

Robotics12Two of Cherokee County’s Robotic Teams fared well during the 3rd Annual VEX Robotics Competition held on Saturday at t Gadsden State Cherokee Arena.

The Gaylesville Middle School team finished 4th overall in the Middle School Division while the Cherokee County team finished 3rd overall in the High School Division.

Randy Rainey, Robotics Instructor at the Cherokee County Career & Tech Center says that robotics teams are beginning to become a popular fad among schools in the county.

Saturday’s event also featured the Robot Technology Park Industrial Robot Trailer and the Cherokee County Career & Tech Instructors also had a booth setup with a variety of instructional displays, including the virtual reality welder, a laser wood etcher, a keyboard typing challenge among other demonstrations.
