Senator Luther Strange Visits WEIS Radio to Discuss Issues Ranging from Healthcare to Water Wars

WEIS Radio played host to a special guest Monday morning – Senator Luther Strange.

Strange had served as the 47th Attorney General of Alabama from 2011 until 2017; Senator Jeff Sessions was appointed by President Donald Trump as Attorney General of the U.S., and at that point, Strange was appointed by then-Governor Robert Bentley to fill the senate seat held by Sessions.  He is currently in a run-off with Roy Moore in an effort to retain that seat.

During the visit, he discussed a wide variety of issues with WEIS Radio Owner Jerry Baker – including the heated controversy surrounding confederate monuments – and in some cases national and federal monuments:

Another issue that has created a firestorm of debate, has been healthcare – with battle lines being drawn on both sides and Strange had this to say in regard to that:

Among the other issues discussed were tax reform and economic growth under the present administration, the NAFTA renegotiation, border control, and the NRA ads and the message they’re sending, and in our own back door – the on-going water wars.

We’ll have more on our conversation with Senator Luther Strange throughout the week.
