Alaco Pharmacy on the Chesnut Bypass Broken into Early Thursday Morning

The Centre Police Department is investigating a burglary that took place at Alaco Pharmacy on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre during the early morning hours of Thursday. Officer Billy Flynt responded to an alarm call just prior to 6:30, and found that the door was open, and items including pill bottles were strewn around the counter and across the floor.

The key holder was contacted, and video surveillance footage revealed that two individuals dressed in black and gray wearing white masks had pried the door open rushed into the store and filled garbage cans with stolen merchandise then fled back out the same door before fleeing in a car parked just outside the front door.  The car appeared to be a white four door sedan, possibly a Chevy, with a black drive-out tag

The stolen medication is estimated to have a value in excess of $15,000.

According to Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship they have no suspects at this time and he said it does appear those individuals seemed to know exactly what they were doing – as the entire operation took only a matter of seconds from start to finish.
