Authorities are still searching for three individuals in connection with a double murder that took place July 23rd in Piedmont – and on Thursday Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade announced that a reward of $6,000 is being offered in that case.  $1,000 will come from the Crime Stoppers fund with the remaining $5,000 coming from the office of Governor Kay Ivy.

Two men are wanted on murder charges: 32 year old Jeffrey Jamall Briskey and 25 year old Rhimington Otarivs Johnson – while a 26 year old female Sicondria Michala “C.C.” Carter, is being called a “person of interest”.   All three are from Anniston and Sheriff Wade said Thursday they may be traveling together or separately – possibly in Carter’s gold 2002 Dodge Stratus – license #11GS786.

23 year old Joshua Moody and Travis Frost, age 73 were both killed at around 4:30 that Sunday morning at a Rabbittown Road residence, in the eastern portion of Calhoun County.  Frost’s wife, who was hiding in a bedroom, called 9-1-1 during the incident.  Sheriff Wade stated that Moody knew at least one of the three people being sought and that he didn’t believe the killings were random.
