A Gadsden Man Accused Of Stealing Pistol, Badges From Unmarked Sheriff’s Vehicle

Johah Gabriel Walker, 25, has been charged with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle along with 2nd degree theft of property after officers say he stole a pistol and two Etowah County Sheriff’s Office badges from an unmarked sheriff’s vehicle.

Walker was arrested on August 6, 2020, when he was found hiding under a bed at a home on Whites Chapel Road.

Deputies were able to recover a magazine from the stolen Glock 9mm pistol during the arrest, and the stolen gun was found later.

Walker is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $75,000 surety bond.
