Walt Disney Studios(NEW YORK) — A new trailer for director Ava DVernay’s adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s classic 1962 novel, A Wrinkle in Time, debuted during Sunday’s American Music Awards.
The film stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry who, along with her brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O’Keefe — played by Deric McCabe and Levi Miller, respectively — travel through time and space to find their missing father, portrayed by Chris Pine.
Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Zach Galifianakis and Mindy Kaling round out the cast.
A Wrinkle in Time opens nationwide next March from Disney, parent company of ABC News.
