According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, there was a wreck that involved two 18-wheelers in Etowah County during the early morning hours of Thursday. The accident took place on I-59 at 3:55am and involved a 2018 Freightliner being driven by 49 year old Bruce Wiley from Sparta, Tennessee and a 2006 International driven by 45 year old Jason Ramos of Ooltewah, Georgia.
Wiley was unhurt however Ramos was listed as receiving injuries in the crash; no details in regard to the extent of his injuries were noted on the report.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
