According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports – a wreck involving an army truck was responsible for delays on I-59 at Exit #218 in Ft Payne on Thursday morning.
The vehicle involved in the accident was one of a dozen or so military convoy trucks – and it appears that the truck that overturned was hauling explosives.
That section of I-59 southbound was closed for several hours as a result of the accident.
According to the accident report, no one was injured in the mishap.
No word yet on exactly what led to the wreck.
