One Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident on the Chesnut Bypass Thursday Afternoon

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident, taking place on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre at around 3:00 Thursday afternoon.  That mishap occurred in front of Tractor Supply and according to the Centre Police Department accident report involved a ’97 model Toyota Corolla, driven by a 22 year old Rainbow City man – and a 2011 Altima, being driven by a male resident of Piedmont, age 55. 

Both drivers escaped injury; however, the 19 year old female passenger in the Altima was carried to Floyd Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Those responding to the scene included Centre Police and Fire units along with Floyd EMS.
