Additional information has now been released on the arrest of a 20 year old Piedmont man facing a laundry list of charges following a high-speed chase Monday involving several local law enforcement agencies.  According to Leesburg Investigator Jamie Chatman that chase started on Keener Drive after Colton Michael Lambert refused to pull over, and fled in the direction of Etowah County.  Over the course of that pursuit Centre Police, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Etowah authorities provided assistance with Lambert eventually barreling across a pasture and crashing the vehicle into a pond.

Lambert was taken into custody, charged with attempting to elude, speeding, illegal u-turn, with two counts of failure to stop at stop sign, reckless driving, improper lane usage, speed above 45 mph on county roads, driving on the wrong side of the highway, failure/refusal to display insurance and unlawful possession of marijuana second degree. Lambert was booked into jail just before midnight.  He has since been released after making bond which was set at $5,500.

According to Investigator Chatman, additional charges are pending.
