Additional information has now been released regarding a single-vehicle rollover occurring over the weekend on Highway 411 in Cherokee County.

The driver of a 1997 Ford involved in the crash, identified in the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as 32 year old Danny Charles Jones, Jr. of Centre, was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment following the wreck which took place at around 6:00am Saturday.  Jones was reportedly ejected from the vehicle after losing control and striking a power pole near Hill’s Store approximately eight miles north of Centre.

Those responding to the scene included the McCords Fire Department the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Alabama State Troopers  The cause of that accident remains under investigation.

No additional information regarding the extent of Jones injuries has been made available.
