Additional Information Released Regarding Three Car Crash On Friday In Cedar Bluff

The Cedar Bluff Police Department’s accident report from the three car crash in front of the Weiss Mart on Friday afternoon has been released.

The accident involved a 2016 Chevy Camaro being driven by Rooks Blaine Terrell of a Sylvania address, a 2006 Chevy Express Van driven by Steven Wesley Goff with Covenant Landscaping of a Fort Payne address and a 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Mary Eaton Clay of Cedar Bluff.

According to the report, the vehicle being driven by Terrell was traveling southbound on Alabama Highway 9 using the left turn lane; the vehicle driven by Clay was traveling Highway 9 northbound using the right hand lane. The van driven by Mr. Goff was waiting to merge into traffic when Terrell made a left hand turn toward a private drive crossing into opposing lanes and into the oncoming path of the other two vehicles causing the crash.

Mrs. Clay was taken to Cherokee Medical Center by EMS ground units for treatment of injuries; the report did not indicate the extent of those injuries.

Cedar Police, Cedar Bluff Fire and Cherokee EMS all responded to the scene.
