Two children and one adult were killed early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash in Randolph County, close to the Georgia state line.
The vehicle left the road on AL 48 near to County Road 95 sometime around 2:30 a.m., according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to the Coroner’s Office, the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway striking a tree head on. The collision caused the vehicle to catch fire and completely burn.
Troopers at the scene said the crash appeared to happen when the vehicle was negotiating a curve at high speed.
