Alabama State Troopers Release Additional Information Concerning Fatal Accident In Cedar Bluff

Additional information has been released concerning a fatal crash that occurred east of Cedar Bluff on Thursday of last week.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, that two-vehicle crash at approximately 7:15 p.m Thursday, March 25, claimed the life of a Cedar Bluff man. The driver was fatally injured when the 2014 Chevy Spark he was driving hydroplaned into the opposite lane of travel and was struck by a 2021 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification is pending due to notification of next of kin. The passenger of the Chevy was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The crash occurred on Alabama 9 near Cherokee County 51, approximately seven miles east of Cedar Bluff.

Nothing further is available as the Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
