State Troopers Respond to Multiple Wrecks in Cherokee County on Monday

Alabama State Troopers responded to three separate wrecks involving injuries in Cherokee County on Monday. 

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports, a 2004 Chevrolet crashed into a power pole along Highway 411 at 2:40 that afternoon, injuring a passenger inside the vehicle, 73 year old Vance Richard.  The driver, Fronie Richard, age 72 of Rockmart, Georgia was unhurt.  The McCords Fire Department and Cherokee EMS responded to the scene.

The second accident took place at 8:30pm on Highway 411 and involved a 2015 Jeep driven by 18 year old Paul Claiborne of Guntersville, and a 2002 Chevrolet being driven by 61 year old Piedmont resident Patsy Bowman.  Both drivers were listed on the report as being hurt, in addition to a passenger in the Chevrolet, 65 year old Junior Bowman.  The Spring Creek Fire Department and Cherokee EMS responded.

State Troopers also worked a single vehicle crash on County Road 50 at around 10:15pm in which a 1993 Jeep left the roadway and struck a tree.  The driver 42 year old Timothy White of Gaylesville, was listed as being hurt in the wreck.  The Sand Rock Fire Department and Cherokee EMC responded.

All three accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
