Alabama State Troopers Respond to Two Separate Accidents with Injuries Locally Thursday

On Thursday, Alabama State Troopers responded to two separate wrecks involving injuries in Cherokee County.

The first was a two-vehicle accident that resulted in four people being hurt.  At around 2:30 that afternoon on County Road 31 a 2014 Nissan collided with a 2005 Chevrolet.  According to that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, both the driver of the Nissan, 35 year old Cedar Bluff resident Ashley Kirby and a ten year old passenger were listed as being hurt; meanwhile both the driver of the Chevrolet, 33 year old Melissa Bray of Centre and an unnamed passenger, were listed as receiving injuries.

No additional information regarding the extent of the injuries suffered by any of the parties involved has yet been made available.

The report did indicate that seat belts were in use in both vehicles.

Those responding to the scene in addition to state troopers included Cherokee EMS and the Spring Creek Fire Department.

A 24 year old Cedar Bluff man, Adam Hudgins, was injured in a motorcycle accident around 4:30 that afternoon on County Road 44, after reportedly losing control of his 2003 Yamaha.

No additional information on his injuries was noted on the accident report.

Both accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
