Alabama State Troopers Work Two Single-Vehicle Accidents in Cherokee County on Tuesday

Alabama State Troopers responded to a pair of single-vehicle accidents in Cherokee County on Tuesday – one with an injury and one without.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports, the first took place on Alabama Highway 273 just north of the Little River Bridge at around 2:30, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.  According to the report, no one was hurt, however there may have been at least one person checked out at the scene, along with the State Troopers members of the Tucker’s Chapel Fire Department and Cherokee EMS responded.

That second wreck took place at 6:15 that evening on County Road 15, and involved a 2010 Chevrolet driven by a 28 year old Murfreesboro, Tennessee resident identified as Francisco Mejia, who was listed as being injured in that mishap, although no additional information was noted.

Both accidents remain under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
