Alabama State Troopers Work Multiple Accidents Around Area on Sunday

Alabama State Troopers had an extremely busy Sunday, working several accidents around the area.

One person was hurt in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 411, approximately five miles north of Centre at 5:55pm. That wreck involved a 2010 Nissan driven by 24 year old Dallas Rogers of Cedar Bluff; Rogers escaped injury, however, a passenger in the vehicle – 54 year old Dixie Davis was listed as being hurt in the mishap.

A Ft Payne resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident on County Road 47 around five miles south of Mentone at 3:20am. 28 year old Scotty Shaver was listed as being hurt when he wrecked his 1998 Chevy.

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 68 in DeKalb County at 2:50pm – that accident involved a 2004 Ford, driven by Sonja Romero, age 47 of Crossville, Florida, and a 1992 Toyota, driven by 43 year old Julio Solis, of Collinsville. Solis was unhurt in that crash, however Romero along with two passengers in her vehicle – identified as 37 year old Marilee Perez and a ten year old juvenile – were listed as being injured.

Troopers also worked two accidents in Etowah County.

The first at 9:00am on I-59, involving a 2009 Chevy driven by 20 year old Aleah Walker of a West Point, Mississippi address and a 1997 Toyota, being driven by 69 year old Edgar Early of Tallahassee, Florida. Both drivers were injured, along with a passenger in the Toyota, 67 year old Cynthia Early.

The second accident occurred at 2:00pm on Highway 431 approximately ten miles north of Attalla. That mishap involved a 2008 Chevy, being driven by 17 year old Dallas Kemp, from Attalla and a 2001 BMW being driven by 32 year old Guntersville resident Jeremy Hasty.

Both Kemp and Hasty were listed on the report as being injured along with two juveniles in the Kemp Vehicle.

All of those accidents remain under investigation by the Alabama law Enforcement Agency
