Alabama now has more than 100,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The Alabama Department of Public Health data for Wednesday, August 12th, showed a total of 100,801 cases; that’s an increase of 875 from the day before.
The state is listing 1,814 deaths; that’s up 33 from Tuesday.
Cherokee County has, to this point – had a total of 279 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – with another 31 being listed as “probable”. The county also listed eight deaths as a result of the illness with one other being listed as “probable” in that category.
Current ADPH figures indicate that the number of people presumed to have recovered from the coronavirus is standing at 37,923.
