Alabama Woman Facing Vehicular Homicide Charge in Northwest Georgia

Muscadine 1A Muscadine, Alabama woman who was driving the car in a wreck that killed her husband back in May (2014) is facing charges of felony Vehicular Homicide and DUI/Drugs.

61 year old Marian Gail Bell was driving a Chevrolet Aveo that witnesses said pulled out in front of a Floyd County Public Works excavator at the intersection of Walker Mountain Road and U.S. Highway 27. Her husband, 70 year old Jerry Bell, was in the front seat of the vehicle and was killed instantly.

Marian Bell was also seriously injured. The driver of the excavator was not hurt.

Police said at the time that Bell turned in front of the county excavator, and that the county vehicle was not at fault.

She is also facing a charge of failure to yield while turning left.
