Albertville Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Officers Find Meth/Paraphernalia During Traffic Stop

On Friday June 9th K-9 Deputy Akins observed a vehicle weaving on County Road 479 in Crossville, the Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Once the Deputy was at the vehicle he asked the driver if he had anything illegal inside the vehicle or on his person.

Shane Curtis Walker, 26 of Albertville was found with a baggie of methamphetamine on his person, at which time the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit was contacted. Walker was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

There was a juvenile in the vehicle at that time and was released to the parents. Sheriff Harris says “Deputy Akins did a good job on being observant.”
