iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Allure magazine has revealed its list of top beauty products for the 20th anniversary of its annual Best of Beauty awards.
Editors participated in what the magazine described as a very regimented process earlier this year to test more than 58,000 products submitted for review in a range of categories.
Tooth whiteners, deodorants, hand and body creams, lipsticks (and lip gloss, lip crayons and lip stains), fragrances, sunscreens, foundations, face masks, shampoos and body scrubs were among the items tested. They included affordable brands available in drugstore to offerings that cost hundreds of dollars.
The magazine also tested beauty tools such as makeup brushes, curling irons and eyelash curlers.
Michelle Lee, Allure’s editor-in-chief, appeared on ABC News’ Good Morning America Wednesday to discuss the awards, which were revealed Monday night during the magazine’s Best of Beauty event.
