An Altoona man faces charges over writing a forged check with a fictitious name.
Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said 38 year old Timothy DeWayne Walls has been charged with third degree possession of a forged instrument.
Walls was arrested Saturday after Investigators said he cashed a forged check for $315.77 at an Attalla gas station.
Entrekin said he wrote the check on a non-existent account using a non-valid driver’s license under a fictitious name.
Walls was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $1,500 bond.
