AMC offers free screenings of Get Out on President’s Day

Universal(LOS ANGELES) — In honor of its upcoming one year anniversary, AMC theaters are offering audiences a chance to see Jordan Peele’s critically acclaimed social thriller Get Out on President’s Day.

Peele announced the news on Twitter, posting a video clip declaring “On President’s Day, see Get Out in AMC theaters for free.” The clip included the hypnotic stirring of the tea cup from the film, and Daniel Kaluuya’s character gasping after waking up in a chair.

Get Out, which was released nationwide February 24, 2017, has been lauded by critics and fans alike for its ability to explore racism and social injustice within the confines of a horror film. The film has four Academy Award nominations: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Get Out will screen in 55 different locations across the United States. A list of participating theaters is available online.
