Gadsden State Cherokee is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 11:30am – 4:30pm on Monday, February 19th.

The American Red Cross has issued an urgent call for blood and platelet donors of all blood types to give now to help address a winter blood donation shortage. Platelet and type O negative and B negative blood donations – in particular – are critically needed. 

Severe winter weather, snow storms and frigid temperatures have greatly impacted blood donations.  More than 150 blood drives have been cancelled this year causing over 5,500 blood and platelet donations to go uncollected.  All community members, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to donate blood or platelets.
